LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After their home opener against Western New Mexico, NM State hits the road once again, this time heading to California to compete in the Golden State Invitational, hosted by Sacramento State and UC Davis. 

The Aggies will kick off the event on Friday, March 7, with a morning matchup against Nevada in Sacramento. Later that afternoon at 3 p.m., they'll face Sacramento State for their second match of the day. To close out the invitational, NM State will take on UC Davis on Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m. at UC Davis. 

LAST TIME OUT | VS Western New Mexico (Feb. 28) 

Last time out, NM State dominated Western New Mexico 7-0 at the NM State Tennis Center, sweeping both doubles and singles play. The Aggies secured the doubles point with a 6-3 win from Roko Stipetic and Lance Urlaub at No. 3, followed by Itay Feigin and Holland Snell's 6-2 victory at No. 1 to clinch the point. Gustavo Campos and Tobias Wallin completed the doubles sweep with a 6-4 win at No. 2. 

In singles, Matias Rojas led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, while Stipetic followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6. Tobias Wallin put the Aggies one point away from victory with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2. Lance Urlaub then clinched the shutout with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4. Feigin sealed the sweep with a 6-1, 7-6 win at No. 1, and Snell capped the perfect team performance with a 6-7, 6-0, 6-2 comeback victory at No. 3.
