Series Opener at Kennesaw State Suspended

| By:

Aggies held 9-5 lead in the bottom of the ninth when rain suspended play.

MARIETTA, Ga. – The Aggies opened their weekend road series at Kennesaw State and with 24 outs recorded, mother nature took over. Amid monsoon season in the region, the game at S. Walter Kelly Sr. Memorial Field was suspended while the Aggies held a 9-5 advantage with no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

NM State jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings of action before Kennesaw State rallied back to make it a two-run game after five innings. With scoreless sixth, seventh and eighth innings from both sides, the Aggies' Mitch Namie blasted a two-run home run to give the Aggies a four-run lead before play was called.

Currently, the game is scheduled to resume tomorrow with a start time still to be determined. Weather permitting, the Aggies will still attempt to play three games this weekend.
