Aggies Fall to Wichita State in Neutral-Site Match

NM State will wrap up its road swing on Monday against Arizona.

NM State 1, Wichita State 6 
NM State played match number three of four this afternoon, falling 6-1 to Wichita State at the Chandler Tennis Center. 

Wichita State claimed the doubles point to open the match. The Shockers earned a 6-3 victory on court one to take control early, while the match on court two was left unfinished with Wichita State holding a 5-2 advantage. Court three was decided by walkover, allowing Wichita State to secure the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. 

NM State responded with a strong performance at the top of the singles lineup, as Roko Stipetic earned the Aggies' lone point of the day. Competing on court one, Stipetic delivered a straight-set victory over Wichita State's Ilias Worthington, posting a 6-4, 6-2 decision to put NM State on the board. 

The remaining singles matches were claimed by Wichita State. Lance Urlaub battled on court two, while Holland Snell pushed his match to three sets on court three before falling in a super tiebreak. Thomas Duforets and Laurendi Fischer competed on courts four and five, respectively, as both matches were decided in straight sets. Court six was decided by walkover.
