LARAMIE, Wyo. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team was bested by Wyoming on Thursday at the UW Indoor Tennis Courts, 7-0.

The loss moved the Aggies to 6-9 overall on the year while the Cowgirls moved to 12-3.

NM State went down in order to start doubles play, despite the valiant efforts from
Rimpledeep Kaur and
Marie-Pier Thiffault on court No. 2 – who fell 7-6 (7-1).
Lindsay Harlas and
Gabrielle Joyce tied the match up at 5-5 at on point before falling 7-5 at No. 3 doubles.

One-by-one the Aggies fell in singles action, beginning with court No. 3 where Rebecca Keijarwaard was bested by Tessa van Der Ploeg 6-3 6-2. Kaur was next to fall on court No. 1 6-2, 6-3 before Dorottya Jones clinched match point for Wyoming 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

Eli Arnaudova battled the Cowgirls' Elisa Koonik tough in the first set, but fell 7-5, 6-4 in the end on court No. 4. Wyoming completed the sweep when Thiffault and Harlas went down in order on courts No. 5 and No. 6.

New Mexico State will have a quick turnaround before they face off against Battle of I-25 rival New Mexico at 11 a.m. (MT) on Saturday, March 25.
