LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team finally returns home for just its second dual match of the entire spring season this Wednesday, April 12, when it entertains Western New Mexico for a 2 p.m. tilt at the NM State Tennis Center. NM State then wraps up regular-season action with UT Permian Basin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 16.

WNMU heads into Wednesday's contest against the Aggies (14-5) with a similar record at 12-5 while holding a 1-0 mark in the Lone Star Conference. Vladimir Gnilozubov is the only player with double-digit victories in singles action at 13-4 to pace WNMU. Sascha Brechtel and JeanLaurent Pageault are second on the team with nine wins apiece.

The No. 1 doubles pair of Tristan Da Lio and Gnilozubov is 13-3 on the season while its No. 2 doubles team Liam Fraboulet and Pageault are right behind them with a 12-4 mark. Zach Grabovic and Blayze O'Keefe are close to reaching double-digit wins, checking in with a 9-6 record.

New Mexico State boasts six players with 10-plus wins on the year, including 22-match winner
Christofer Goncalves – who is a prime candidate for WAC Player of the Year. Goncalves owns a 22-6 mark in singles action while
Enrique Asmar checks in at 17-5.
Mauri Benitez is next on that list of singles victories with a 16-8 mark while reigning WAC Player of the Week,
Stijn de Haan, enters the weekend 15-7 overall.
Luis Flores and
Sergi Espias rounds out the double-digit win list with 13 and 11 wins, respectively.

Meanwhile, Goncalves and Flores combined to go 19-7 overall in doubles together at the top position while de Haan and Benitez are 12-11 overall together at No. 2 doubles.

On Sunday, April 16, the Aggie men are set to close out the regular-season against UT Permian Basin at 10 a.m. The Falcons are 6-5 on the season and 0-1 in Lone Star Conference play. UTPB is set to play three-straight matches at home before wrapping up its regular-season as well with NM State.
