LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team tallied its seventh-straight victory on Wednesday afternoon at the NM State Tennis Center with a 7-0 sweep of in-state foe Western New Mexico.

The Aggies (15-5) first sat the Mustangs down in succession during doubles play. The last time NM State dropped the doubles point came back on March 10 against Portland. New Mexico State's top doubles team of
Christofer Goncalves and
Luis Flores has now won five of their last six doubles matches.

Goncalves recorded his seventh-consecutive singles victory on Wednesday when he ousted Liam Fraboulet 6-0, 6-1 and pushed his total to 23.
Enrique Asmar gave NM State a 3-0 lead when he bested Sascha Brechtel 6-1, 6-2 on court No. 5.
Sergi Espias, who clinched the regular-season title for NM State, also clinched Wednesday's victory over WNMU (12-6) – this time 6-1, 6-2.

Mauri Benitez kept the undefeated run on track when he sent Blayze O'Keefe packing 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 6 slot.
Stijn de Haan, this week's reigning WAC Player of the Week, had to battle for his victory on court No. 3, but eventually came out on top 6-3, 5-7, 10-6.
Luis Flores put the final seal on the sweep with the 6-2, 7-5 win on court No. 2.

New Mexico State now preps for its final regular-season match of the year before hosting the Western Athletic Conference Championships (April 28-30) in a couple weeks at the NM State Tennis Center. Admission is free for all ages.
