LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team heads back to Corpus Christi, Texas, for the H-E-B Tournament of Champions once again this weekend.

The two-day tournament opens on Friday, Feb. 22, with NM State taking on a formidable foe in Troy – who is 8-0 on the season. Pelayo Antuna leads the team with a 9-1 mark in singles action while Christopher Tasker and Jiaqi Duan each have seven wins apiece. In doubles action, Manuel Bernard and Oskar Michalek has a team-high six wins while Antuna and Duan have five wins to their name.

New Mexico State is paced by sophomore
Louis Menard, who is 13-5 overall and 4-1 in dual play.
Enrique Asmar,
Stijn de Haan and
Martin Simecek each have nine wins apiece and look to join Menard on the double-digit wins list this weekend. Asmar and Menard own a team-best 10-3 mark in doubles play while
Mauri Benitez and de Haan just behind with a 9-4 mark.
