BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The second-seeded New Mexico State women's tennis team will face the No. 3-seed in Kansas City at 8 a.m. (MT) on Saturday, April 27, at the Brownsville Tennis Center in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Championships.

NM State enters the WAC Championships with an overall record of 13-9 and 3-2 mark in league play – including a 6-1 record when playing on neutral courts. The last time these two clubs matched up on the courts, New Mexico State prevailed by score of
5-2 in Phoenix.

The Aggies are led by
Harsha Challa, who recently earned Second-Team All-WAC honors in singles play, with 19 wins in singles action.
Gavi Kalaga, who garnered First-Team All-WAC selections, and
Yadira Rubio are tied for second on the team with 14 wins. Freshman
Chloe Gavino is third on the team with 12 victories to her name while
Lindsay Harlas rounds the double-digit win list out with 10.

Kansas City enters the semifinals with an 11-11 overall record after taking down the No. 6-seed Seattle U 4-1 late Friday morning. The Roos are paced by Katie Fries, who checks in with 12 wins while Yana Gretchkina and Riddhi Sharma each have 11 wins to the name. Thanushree Vale wraps up the list of double-digit winners for UMKC with 10 victories.
