LEADOFF HITS
• The final stop on the NM State baseball team's seven-game swing through the state of Texas is College Station where the Aggies will take on SEC foe Texas A&M in a three-game series for the second-straight season.
• SEC Network+ will stream all three games of the series.
• In the inaugural series between the two programs last season, Texas A&M swept the three-game set and outscored NM State 31-10 in the process. Texas A&M was ranked 20th in the nation for that series.
• All-time, NM State is 1-12 (.077) against current SEC teams. The only win the Aggies have in their program history against an SEC foe came on March 9, 2018 when they collected a 3-0 win at Alabama in the first game of a three-game series between the two teams.
• NM State rolls into College Station in possession of the WAC's best fielding percentage (.984, 26th nationally), home runs per game average (1.25, 35th nationally) and scoring average (8.5 runs per game, 23rd nationally).
• As a team, the Aggies have accumulated nine extra-base hits through their first four games. No one player, however, has more than one extra-base to his credit thus far.

THE LINEUP CARD
• Infielders Brandon Dieter (1.50) and Ethan Mann (1.25) rank second and third respectively in the WAC in terms of runs batted in per game. Dieter's average is the 47th-best in the land.
• Designated hitter Connor Laux and outfielder Tommy Tabak top the Aggies' charts in terms of batting average. Both are hitting .400 through NM State's first four games, good for fifth in the WAC.
Austin Duffy and Zerek Saenz each have one of the Aggies' two triples this year.
• Senior right-hander Chris Jefferson became one of just 15 NCAA Division I pitchers to toss a complete game in 2021 after he worked all seven innings in the Aggies' 12-2 victory over Abilene Christian Sunday afternoon.
• Jefferson's complete-game effort was the first by an Aggie pitcher since May 5, 2019, when Chance Hroch tossed a seven-inning one against UTRGV.

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M | ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATISTICS
• The Aggies' series with NM State will serve as the third, fourth and fifth games of their 10-game home stand from Olson Field at Blue Bell Park. Seven of Texas A&M's first 10 games of the year have been played there and it hasn't played in a true road game yet this year.
• The nation's leader in walks drawn, Texas A&M has seen its batters take 68 free passes through its first 10 games of the year. Three Aggies - Zane Schmidt (15th, nine), Bryce Blaum (60th, seven) and Will Frizzell (60th, seven) rank among the top 100 players nationally in total walks drawn.
• Frizzell has proven himself as one of the nation's premier power hitters through the early stages of 2021. His four doubles rank 20th in the land while his four long balls are the eighth-most among NCAA Division I baseball players. One of just two Aggies who have played in all 10 of his games, Frizzell's slash line sits at an impressive .368/.468/.789.
• Texas A&M's pitching staff currently owns a reputation as one of the most potent in the land, too. The Aggies' arms are striking out an average of 13 batters per nine innings - the nation's ninth-highest rate. Bullpen arms Chandler Jozwiak (18) and Joseph Menefee (17) are two of the eight Aggie pitchers who have amassed double-digit strikeouts so far.
• Entering the weekend, head coach Rob Childress is sitting at 599 wins for his career.

ON DECK
• Following a stretch of seven consecutive games on the road to begin the 2021 campaign, the NM State baseball team will open up WAC play at a site much closer to Presley Askew Field. The Aggies will hook up with league - and NCAA Division I - newcomer Dixie State for a four-game WAC set starting Friday at a time and site to be determined.
