OREM, Utah -- The NM State Aggies will close out the road portion of the WAC schedule this weekend, when the Aggies trek to Orem to face Utah Valley.
All four games of the weekend series against the Wolverines will be streamed on the WAC Digital network.
Winner of six-of-seven, NMSU currently sits 1.5 behind UTRGV and Dixie State for fourth place in the WAC standings. Utah Valley has lost 10-in-a-row and 14 of 15 games.

AGGIE FACTS:
• Winners of six-of-seven the red-hot NM State Aggies will look to move up in the WAC standings this weekend when they travel to Orem, Utah for the final WAC road series of the season.
• On the backs of last weekend's series victory over UTRGV, the Aggies evened their WAC record at 14-14. NM State sits just 1.5 games behind Dixie State and UTRGV for fourth place in the WAC. UTRGV hosts Tarleton this weekend, while Dixie travels to GCU.
• The Aggies own the tiebreaker over both UTRGV and Dixie, after the Aggies took three-of-four from both schools.
• NM State owns a 12-8 all-time advantage against UVU. The Aggies have won back-to-back games over the Wolverines and nine of the last 10 matchups.
• The Aggies offense was clicking on all cylinders this past week. In the five games the Aggies scored 45 times and hit .365 as a team. In his return to the lineup, centerfielder
Tommy Tabak went 10-for-19 (.526) at the plate, while
Cal Villareal hit .556 (10-18) for the week with four doubles and nine RBIs. Righty

• By turning a five twin-killings last week, the Aggies ran their double play total for the season to 37. That mark is tied for eighth in the country.
• After another strong weekend, a pair of Aggies lead the WAC in RBIs. Shortstop
Brandon Dieter leads the WAC with 41 RBIs, followed by
Ethan Mann (40). After his nine RBI performance last weekend, Villareal now has 32 RBIs, which is fourth in the WAC. The Aggies are one of 12 schools in the country to have at least two players with 40 RBIs this season.
• Infielder
Kevin Jimenez added another six base-on-balls to his WAC-leading walk total. By drawing 17 walks in his last 10 games, Jimenez hiked his season total to 36. Not only does that number lead the WAC, it ranks 16th in the nation. Jimenez's .473 OBP is the second-best mark in the WAC, behind teammate Zarek Sanez.
• Sophomore outfielder Zarek Sanez continues to be a hit machine. The Las Cruces native is now batting .395, which is the best mark in the WAC. Sanez's average ranks in the top-35 nationally, while his 61 hits are the 14th-most in the country. Sanez also leads the WAC in OBP (.484). His .484 OBP is tied for 56th in the nation.
• With his complete game effort last Saturday, senior
Chris Jefferson recorded his sixth CG of the season. That total is tied with Danny Hosley of Norfolk State for the most CG's in the nation

• UVU enters Friday's opener with a 7-36 record and a 5-23 mark in WAC play.
• Like the Aggies, UVU has just two WAC series remaining. Following this weekend's series, the Wolverines return to action on Wednesday at Utah before concluding the week at New Mexico.
• UVU closes the regular season with four games at Seattle.
• After striking first against BYU, UVU allowed the next seven to fall behind 7-1. The Wolverines scored the next three to get to within 7-4, before ultimately falling 11-4.
• Kade Poulsen went 2-for-3 against the Cougars including a home run. For the season Poulsen is batting a team-best .283 with 22 runs scored. The senior has hit four homers, six doubles and a triple.
• On the hill, second-year freshman righty Nick Sims leads the UVU roster in ERA (5.04), while Saturday's G1 starter Mason Gray leads the squad in strikeouts (51).
ON DECK
• The Aggies will close out WAC play next weekend when Cal Baptist visits the 'Skew for a four-game set. The series gets going Friday with a 3 p.m. game, before the two teams meet for a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. MT. The series wraps up with the finale on Sunday at Noon MT.
