LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State baseball team fell below .500 on Tuesday night after falling to New Mexico, 19-2. Their largest loss of the season was cut short after the seventh inning. Frank Dickson Jr. led the Aggies with 3 strikeouts on the night in just one inning pitched.

NM State got on the board in the second inning on a single from Tommy Tabak, but the Aggies struggled to reach home plate for the majority of the game. Shortstop Brandon Dieter connected on a team-high three hits, but it wasn't enough to stop the Lobos.

The sixth inning pushed New Mexico over the 10-run rule, leaving NM State with a big deficit to overcome as Josh Laukkanen and Brandon Doty gave up 4 runs. The Aggies gave up a season-high twenty-two hits in the contest.
