Mike and Judy Johnson Donate Gift for Facility Improvements at Presley Askew Field

| By:
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State Athletics is thrilled to announce a generous and transformational donation from Mike and Judy Johnson to the NM State Baseball program. This significant contribution will be dedicated to facility improvements aimed at enhancing the experience for student-athletes, coaches and fans alike.

With this gift, NM State Baseball will embark on critical upgrades that will modernize training spaces and improve player development resources at Presley Askew Field.

"This extraordinary generosity from the Johnsons will have a lasting impact on the NM State Baseball program," said NM State Acting Director of Athletics Dr. Amber Burdge. "Their support helps us take an important step forward in our commitment to providing our student-athletes with top-tier facilities to train and compete at the highest level."

Head Coach Jake Angier echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the immediate and long-term impact of the donation. "Our players and coaching staff are incredibly grateful for this gift. These upgrades will significantly enhance the experience we can give student-athletes."

Mike and Judy Johnson are longtime supporters of NM State Athletics and expressed their enthusiasm for supporting the program's growth. "When we started working with the baseball program many years ago, the idea was to try to turn this stadium into something that we could be proud of," said Mike Johnson. "We've kept up with it over the years and the goal is that when recruits come here, we're competitive."
