LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team made it four-straight victories on Thursday when it dominated Seattle U, 7-0, at the NMSU Tennis Center in the Western Athletic Conference opener.

The Aggies (6-8, 1-0 WAC) went ahead at the conclusion of doubles play when NM State's No. 2 and No. 3 teams secured the point. NM State's No. 2 doubles team of
Liam Goldberg and
Stijn de Haan made it five-straight victories when they defeated the Redhawks' (8-11, 0-1 WAC) tandem 6-4.

Strahinja Trecakov quickly gave the Aggies a 2-0 advantage when he ousted SU's Ian Clare 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 singles slot. Goldberg made it 3-0 in favor NM State when he defeated Tanner Berkabile 6-2, 6-0 on court No. 3.

De Haan, a freshman, clinched the match for New Mexico State after battling Michael Schoetter in the first set to win 7-6, before cruising to a 6-1 victory in the second set.

Enrique Asmar completed the sweep of Seattle U when they defeated their opponents on courts Nos. 5 and 6.

NM State returns to action once again on Friday, March 25, at noon to take on UT Rio Grande Valley in the second game of the WAC cluster        .
