LAS CRUCES, N.M. – With spring semester around the corner, the New Mexico State women's tennis team is set to open its dual season at noon this Saturday, Jan. 14, at the NM State Tennis Center. First serve is now scheduled for 8:30 a.m. (MT). Admission is free for all fans at NM State tennis matches.Â

Head coach
Ivan Fernandez will have the services of six returners in
Eli Arnaudova,
Lindsay Harlas,
Gabrielle Joyce,
Rimpledeep Kaur,
Marie-Pier Thiffault and
Sarah Van Eeckhoudt. Fernandez also bolstered his line-up with four newcomers in Vanessa Casas,
Elizabeth Geronimo, Rebecca Keijzerwaar and Fanny Novak.

First up for the Aggies will be Central Oklahoma, who has already started its dual season and is currently 2-0 with wins over William Jewell (9-0) and Seward County (5-3). The last time NM State opened the dual season with a victory was back in the spring of the 2007-08 campaign where the Aggies defeated Weber State 7-0 in a neutral match in Las Vegas, Nev.
