LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team looks to improve upon its record as it heads to Tucson, Ariz., for an 11 a.m. (MT) bout against Arizona this Saturday, March 24, at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

The Wildcats are 14-8 overall on the season and 0-2 in Pac-12 play with an 8-2 mark when playing on their home court. Arizona is on a two-match win-streak after dropping three-straight against top-50 nationally ranked teams.

All six usual starters for UA have 12-plus wins while Alejandro Reguant (21-5) and Jonas Maier (20-6) each have 20-plus wins. Filip Malbasic is 17-2 on the season in dual play, splitting time between the No. 4 and No. 5 singles slots. Carlos Hassey checks in with a 14-8 mark followed by Igor Karpovet at 13-11 before rounding the list out with Trent Botha at 12-7.

The No. 1 doubles team of Karpovets and Hassey leads Arizona with an 11-6 record together while Maier and Reguant are 8-7 on the year at the No. 3 slot.

Like the Wildcats, NM State is riding a two-match win-streak and currently sits at 9-5 on the season. The Aggies are 0-3 on the year in road games as they seek their first win away from home Saturday.

New Mexico State is led by
Christofer Goncalves in singles play with a 19-6 record while
Enrique Asmar and
Mauri Benitez are right on his tails with an 18-8 and 18-7 record, respectively.
Sergi Espias isn't far off the leaderboard either with a 17-7 overall mark while freshman
Louis Menard owns a 14-4 singles record.
Stijn de Haan and
Luis Flores round the double-digit winners out with 10 wins apiece.

The No. 2 doubles of de Haan and Benitez overtook Goncalves and Flores for the most wins on the team with 15 while NM State's top pair sit at 14-6.
