Box Score SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's tennis finished off its spring break with a 7-0 sweep of Paradise Valley Community College Thursday evening for its 10th win of the season.
 
Doubles action began with Yadira Rubio and Lindsay Harlas sweeping their foes on court No. 2 with an 8-0 sweep. Gavi Kalaga and Harsha Challa did the same to their counterparts at the top singles position with Rebecca Keijzerwaard and Chloe Gavino following suit with an 8-0 win of their own.
 
Playing with a more mixed line-up this time around in singles action, Challa gave NM State (10-7) the 2-0 lead with a clean sweep at the No. 2 slot 6-0, 6-0. Rubio was near-perfect like Challa and bested Calli Chance 6-0, 6-1 on court No. 3. Kalaga then dominated her foe on court No. 5 to clinch the match for New Mexico State with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
 
Gavino was one of three Aggies to claim a clean sweep in singles, defeating Baylee Decker at the No. 4 singles position. Quinty Janssen checked in at the No. 6 slot and came away with the 6-1, 6-0 victory before Neus Torregrosa concluded the match for NM State with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the top singles position – her first at that spot this season.
 
New Mexico State will now take a trip to Chicago, Ill., for the second and final WAC pod of matches next week. Seattle U will be the first opponent for NM State on Friday, April 5, before wrapping the trip up with host Chicago State on Saturday, April 6.
