DENVER – New Mexico State men's tennis senior
Mauri Benitez and the top Aggies doubles team of
Louis Menard and
Enrique Asmar were named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Tournament team as voted on by league's six head coaches.

This is the second-straight year Benitez has been named to the all-tournament team in singles after going a perfect 1-0 at the No. 4 singles spot last weekend. The senior is now 17-9 overall on the year in singles. His lone win at the conference championship came against Grand Canyon's Lucas Grego in three sets 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

NM State's top doubles team of
Louis Menard and
Enrique Asmar also went 2-0 at the WAC Championships and earned all-tournament honors as well. The pair clinched the doubles point in the semifinals against UMKC with a 6-4 win and then was the first team to finish against GCU 6-2.

The Aggie saw their season come to an end this past Sunday when it lost in the final set of the match and fell to the Lopes 4-3 in the WAC Championship match. NM State finished the season with an overall record of 15-10, making it three-straight seasons with 15-plus wins. Â
