LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team is set to host senior day on Tuesday, April 9, at 1 p.m. against NMMI at the NM State Tennis Center.

Fans will get their final chance to see
Enrique Asmar,
Mauri Benitez,
Stijn de Haan and
Alejandro Rosas Garcia compete in the Crimson & White at home before they head to Seattle for the final WAC Pod this weekend and the WAC Tournament the following week.

Louis Menard leads all players with a 21-10 overall mark in singles play, including a team-best 12-6 record in dual action. Second on the team in overall wins is de Haan, who checks in with a 15-11 record. Meanwhile, Benitez (14-8) and newcomer
Nicolas Buitrago (14-9) are tied for third on the team with nearly identical records. Coincidentally, the two are tied for second on the team with 10 wins apiece in dual action. Asmar and freshman
Martin Simecek round out the list of double-digit winners for NM State with 13 wins to their name in singles play.

In doubles, the duo of Menard and Asmar are 16-8 overall on the year to pace the team while Benitez and de Haan are right behind them with a 14-7 mark and own an 8-6 and 8-5 record in dual play, respectively.
Luis Flores and Buitrago are 9-5 on the year, all in dual play, to pace the team in that category.

The senior day ceremony honor Asmar, Benitez, de Haan and Rosas Garcia will take place in between doubles and singles matches.Â

After its final home match, NM State will head to the Pacific Northwest for the second and final WAC Pod of matches hosted by Seattle U. The regular-season title could come down to first match of the weekend between the Aggies and Grand Canyon on Friday, April 12, with both teams coming into the weekend 3-0 in league play. The following day, NM State will face the Redhawks on Saturday, April 13.
