TEMPE, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's and women's tennis team both earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team honors on Thursday and combined to have 14 players earn ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction with seven coming from each squad.

This is the 16th-consecutive year the Aggie women have earned the team academic honor while the men have notched the honor for the seventh-straight season.Â

On the women's side, senior
Lindsay Harlas earned the honor for the fourth year in a row while
Yadira Rubio received the honor back-to-back years. This was the second time
Rebecca Keijzerwaard has earned all-academic accolades.
Harsha Challa,
Gavi Kalaga,
Clara Rizea and
Neus Torregrosa all got the award for the first time since joining the Crimson & White.

For the men,
Enrique Asmar and
Stijn de Haan have now earned the award four-straight years while this is
Luis Flores' third-straight season with the honor.
Louis Menard,
Yusuke Nishitani and
Alejandro Rosas Garcia have now taken home the award back-to-back years while freshman
Sebastian Herrera earned the honor his first year with the Aggies.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2018 and spring 2019).
