This will also be the first opportunity for most fans to hear from Head Coach Jake Angier, who enters his second year at the helm of the NM State baseball program. In year one, Angier helped lead the Aggies to a 25-29 overall record, including finishing 15-11 at Presley Askew Field.

In year one under the guidance of Angier, NM State jumped 159 spots in the NCAA Baseball RPI standings to mark the single highest RPI gain of any Division I program in the nation from the 2023 season to the 2024 season.

In 2024, the Aggies also landed three individuals on All-Conference USA teams, including returner Steve Solorzano who finished his true freshman campaign with a .327 batting average, 18 RBIs and three home runs despite missing 24 games due to injury. Coach Angier's first year with the program also helped produce two MLB draft picks as Keith Jones II was selected in the in the ninth round by the Texas Rangers while the Atlanta Braves used a 16th round pick to take Titus Dumitru.

Along with Solorzano, 12 other Aggies who were featured on the 2024 roster will make their return in 2025. Joining them will be 26 newcomers, including four DI transfers and 10 junior college transfers.

NM State will officially begin its season with a four-game home series versus St. Thomas that is slated to begin on Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. In total, the Aggies will play 55 games, including 28 within the wall of Presley Askew Field.
