LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Fresh off a successful opening-weekend at home, the New Mexico State men's tennis team now heads west to play in the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Arizona this weekend (Sept. 21-23).

The three-day will take place at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center and begins with doubles play each and every day at 9 a.m. (MT). Teams in the tournament include New Mexico State, Arizona, BYU, Boise State, Northern Arizona, Grand Canyon, San Diego State, Mesa Community College and New Mexico.

Martin Simicek and
Luis Flores will first take on San Diego State's pair Jan Kirchhoff and Rafael Almazan at the top of the Wilber Doubles bracket. Fresh off their doubles flight title last weekend at home,
Louis Menard and
Enrique Asmar team up once again to open up against MCC's Lucas Severo and Maxim Kirsch.
Stijn de Haan and
Mauri Benitez are scheduled to face Mateo Vereau and Matthew Pearce from BYU.

In the Wilma Doubles bracket,
Nicolas Buitrago and
Alejandro Rosas Garcia – who won the consolation doubles bracket at home – gets a bye in the opening round and will take on the winner between BYU's Jacob Tullis and Kobe Tran and NAU's Justin Bac and Daniel Dillon.

The bottom of that bracket, Sebastian Herrera and
Yusuke Nishitani team up for the first time and face Grand Canyon's Leo Andreolli and Nicolau Macedo.

Singles action in the Australian Open bracket has de Haan against SDSU's Arnaud Restifo and Menard facing off against Mathieu Rajaonah in a preview of conference play.

In the French Open singles bracket, Asmar will battle Northern Arizona's Ron Idzon while Simicek squares off with BYU's Vinicius Nogueria. Menard wraps up the Aggies in that flight with a bout against Boise State's Maximilien Blancaneaux.

The Wimbledon singles draw has Buitrago up against Simon Stenlund from BSU and Nishitani against GCU's Jakub Novak. Rosas Garcia is in the bottom of that bracket taking on Jared Horwood of Arizona while Flores tangos with Tran from BYU.

Last, but not least, is the US Open singles flight – which has Herrera taking the court against GCU's Macedo.
