Choi Parker (2003-06), is one of the most decorated volleyball players in New Mexico State history. The Corpus Christi, Texas, product spent four years in Las Cruces after transferring from TCU and left her name all over the record books. She currently holds the program record for assists in a single season (2006, 1,517), second in single-season service aces (2006, 55) as well eighth with 46 in her first season playing for the Aggies. Choi Parker finished her career with the Aggies third in career assists with 4,101 and fourth in career service aces with 138. Her 11.97 assists per set in 2005 was the fifth-most in a single-season at NM State while her 12.04 assists per set is good for fourth-most in a single-season.
For her standout senior season, Choi Parker was named 2006 AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention while earning back-to-back First-Team All-WAC accolades (2005-06). She was also named the 2004 Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year and placed on the 2005 All-WAC Preseason First-Team before NM State played its first match as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. In addition to her dominance on the court, Choi Parker was also racking up the awards in the classroom. She was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American team as a junior and earned three-straight First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. In her first season with the Aggies, Choi Parker was tabbed a Third-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American and finished out her final two seasons as a First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American. She is an accountant and now resides in San Antonio with her husband, Joe, and children, Joshua and Elizabeth.
