Won th Sun Belt Conference championship in his first year as a coach and went on to win five titles in six years. Scott excelled as a student-athlete and in 1999 became only the sixth golfer in NM State history to be crowned conference champion by winning the Big West Conference Championship. The following season, he was named the Big West Conference Player of the Year and was invited to participate in the 2000 NCAA West Regional meet. Scott was named to the All-Big West Academic Team during each of his final three seasons as an Aggie. Graduated with honors and obtained a degree in business administration.
